First Stage of Neptune Land Trials Completed

Construction of the innovative Neptune Offshore Access System is now complete and the system has undergone extensive testing at STL’s research and development facility in Cowes on the Isle of Wight.

The Neptune offshore access system is designed to reduce maintenance costs and increase the availability of normally unmanned offshore installations by providing safe and timely access for maintenance personnel and engineers.

The system will transfer up to 3 personnel or 1 tonne of equipment, from the deck of a vessel to a fixed offshore platform up to 20m above sea level. It will do this with space stabilisation, which means the payload will remain motionless in space regardless of the vessel motions.
