Autonomous Synchronised Stabilised Platform (ASSP)

As testing of the Neptune Prototype nears completion, STL is discussing future project funding with the Marine Challenge Fund based in Cornwall. The fund itself is financed by the European Union Regional Development Fund.
The ASSP project aims to extend Neptune’s six-degree of freedom motion-compensation technology that facilitates access to fixed offshore structures from a ship to also permit access to moving targets by synchronising the payload motion with that of the target. At the same time, a greater degree of autonomy and remote control is envisaged.
