Initial Sea Trials of prototype Neptune motion-compensated personnel-access system complete

STL are pleased to announce that initial, un-manned sea trials of the prototype Neptune motion-compensated personnel access system were successfully completed in March 2023. Sea Trials were carried out on ‘MHO-Esbjerg’, a 38m fast crew transfer vessel (FCTV) with water jet propulsion and joystick control. Tests were conducted in the Solent area with the vessel mooring in open water at the Nab Tower, East of the Isle of Wight. The data gathered will allow us to optimise the control parameters prior to next round of sea trials which are planned to take place at an off-shore wind farm.
